Indeed women are the larger portion of the African American population attending college, and the graduation rates are higher at Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
The NPF, in its efforts, aims to magnify the leadership skills, self confidence and positive attitudes of its program participants.
Going on to an accredited college or university is encouraged and supported.
The College Bus Tour sponsored by the NPF seeks to expose participants to the unique and prevailing atmosphere of each institution on the tour.
The Nellie Prather Foundations mission is to serve young women as a vehicle for learning and development through assistance programs, experiential education, instructural partnering, technology, counseling and mentoring.
