Windows to the World
Students learn to affirm and embrace their own culture within themselves, and with their peers, in order to work effectively cross culturally with other cultural groups. This program provides the students an opportunity to experience a personal transformation that includes character building, self-esteem, community sensitivity, and global awareness.
The Windows to the World Program supports students in developing:
•critical thinking skills
•cultural awareness
•cross cultural leadership skills
•post secondary preparation
•and community investment practices
The program provides an opportunity for students to experience travel to West Africa, Europe, Latin America and parts of the United States. There will be implementation of student leadership activities upon their return.
The Nellie Prather Foundations mission is to serve young women as a vehicle for learning and development through assistance programs, experiential education, instructural partnering, technology, counseling and mentoring.
